Will John Rowland survive this scandal?

The Republican Governor of Connecticut, John Rowland, is now being asked to resign by 3 newspapers in the state. It seems as if he used state contractors to work on his summer home. Anyone with more information or informed opinions on the issue should enlighten us. Democrats control the CT legislature; maybe they can start impeachment proceedings. Does CT have a recall law? I do know that the Lt. Gov is a Republican, so it might not be hard to force him out of office, and I suspect if this thing gets more and more negative publicity, the embattled governor will start getting phone calls from Karl Rove.
