Or at the very least, a good number of them are stuck on 'Neanderthal' in the evolutionary scale. I just think some people prefer to lie to themselves so reality doesn't interfere with their perfect little world.

I don't understand the hypocrisy and blindness. At work the other day, I commented on a story someone told about a woman who stuck her arm in a wolf's cage and the wolf had to be killed in order to free her arm. I said they should have just let the wolf rip it off. The co-worker thought I was serious and was appalled, LOL. I had to explain to her a couple of times that if I had come across the situation in real life, I probably would have shot the wolf to save the woman, but my point being that it was a stupid thing for a grown woman to do, and it resulted in the senseless killing of a wolf, which kind of made me angry. She didn't get it. I guess wolves don't count or something. I'm not saying that stupid people don't count, but I've read too many stories about people doing stuff like this, and it's some innocent animal that ends up dead. Jeez. And this from the same woman who said, 'She's right!' when I mentioned Coulter's statement about killing liberals.
