Yes I remember Deans position and I admire him for taking it. I have never said anything negative about Dean, but there are things I like about Clark more...

Clark was branded the anti-war candidate right from the start of his campaign. He had been speaking out against it all summer on the talk shows. The part that tends to get confused in the press is that he made tactical assesments of the action once it got started (he was a CNN commentator), and lets face it he was happy the troops performed well (It could have been worse in casualties etc).

War is awful, and I know Clark feels this way too. He believes in spreading American values about democracy through diplomacy, and working with the international community. War is a last resort according to Clark.

Here is a link to a video where Clark talks very personnally about the Bosnia/Kosova situation. This is where he stuck his neck out to use military force in order to save people from the attrocities that were occuring. It probably cost him his job.
