BBV: Pima Democrats headed for court
Advertisements [?]
I have learned that the leadership of the Pima County Democratic Party has decided that, in the face of the recent action by Republican Secretary of State Jan Brewer in awarding the state's single source $53 million dollar contract to Diebold despite having been notified of the problems with the Diebold systems, they have no option but to go to court and seek an injunction to prevent the execution of that contract and to order the decertification of the Diebold software currently in use. An attorney who is a specialist in civil rights and election law has taken on the case and the necessary preliminary requests for public records are now in preparation.

Now, of course, THP and Cocoa, this is hearsay, so no need to get your "prove it" tapes out. Just gossip. Can't prove it. And I have been known to engage in a bit of imaginative speculation from time to time. This time? Guess you'll just have to wait and see.

All you BBV activists who read this, please understand that Diebold is attempting to drive wedges between us right now. It is their strategy to sew dissention amongst us. To create smoke screens. To set up and shoot down straw men. To use the law not to seek justice but to enforce their will. These are the tactics of frightened and increasingly desperate corporate exec's who know they have produced a faulty product and sold it under false pretenses and now their misdeeds have become very much public knowledge.

Please do not slow down your efforts. Please find ways to reconcile differences which leave us on the same side working together. We each bring our own strengths to this battle. By working together we do not simply add those strengths together. There is a synergy that occurs which multiplies them together into a whole powerful enough to have a multi-billion dollar corporation on the run.

Remember, this is a corporation whose executives have, based on evidence in their manual and emails, apparently comitted crimes. Felonies by statute. Encouraging customs and immigration regulation violations. Violations of the illegal alien employment regulations. Probably of tax violations on those employees. We have evidence they installed uncertified software to be used in elections. Selling a product under false representation which would constitute fraud.

We need not stand idly by wringing our hands and complaining that they have attacked Bev. Read the emails. There is lots of evidence of lots of crimes. If nobody reports the crimes to the proper authorities, they never get investigated, they never get solved, and the crimes continue.

Don't ask me how to report them. Read until you find something which convinces you a crime has been committed and then ask yourself: What would I do if I came home one day and found that someone had stolen something priceless of mine? Who would I report it to? Call 911? I don't advise it. But I might call the bunco squad or fraud unit or my county attorney or state attorney general.

Tell them your vote has been stolen, you know who stole it, and you want it back.

Your complaint might not trigger the investigation but the next one, piled on top of yours, might. If enough citizens start screaming that a crime has been and is being committed, eventually somebody somewhere in an official capacity is going to investigate. That's all it will take.

Let's take these guys down before they take down our Democracy.
