This from a bumpersticker that I saw a while back (I wanna get it!)
"Liberals treat dogs like people while Conservatives treat people like dogs."
I find this very true.
Too many times I have read on here and elsewhere how the RW runs and reacts to things, most of it is vile, full of vitriol and has a lack of cognizant deductions. (if I am saying that right.) I have noticed that the RW seems to not know how to react without at least vilifying the person or persons who have started the argument. Most of the time debate with Conservatives seem to denigrate to nothing but name calling.
Is it because they are afraid or are they totally ignorant? I think the former is more truer than the latter. It seems that when countered by reasonable facts about an issue or subject the Conservative seem to break down, rather than accepting the fact that they may be wrong or willing to look at the research they resort to debasing the argument with immature, infantile name-calling.
Also it seems that the Conservatives like violence, the recent RW reaction to the London bombings shows proof of their callous regard towards tragedy. One would think that even after 9/11 (there's that term again.)most RWers would be more compassionate towards the victims no matter how great or small the number is. The comments that were said on CNN and FOX shows just how selfish and self-gratifying that these people are.
Now Liberals seem to be on a higher plane of thinking, both spiritually and intellectually. The London bombings and the passing of activist Andy Stephenson touched our hearts. We tend to reach out to those who are suffering and empathize with them. Perhaps that is the key word: empathy. We have an abundance of it and tend to use it whereas as I have said the Conservatives tend to only care for themselves and their own self-worth, hence the saying "Every man for himself."
Liberals, on the other hand, think for their fellow man. If he has no money, we send some to him, if he has no food, we feed him. etc. etc. Liberals and compassionate people are what makes this world a bit brighter. We tend to go for the good of mankind.
Don't get me wrong, not all Conservatives are bad, there are a few decent ones and we can reach out for them, have dialouge with them and understand some of their views. Friendly debate is what is needed, not vitriol and vilifying by either side.
This is all that I can write right now, I hope I haven't offended anyone and I am sorry if I am incorrect in any way.
