I don't know about anyone else, but I'm fed up

Not just with the the petty internecine battles about which candidate is the most electable or yadda yadda yadda, but with feeling hopeless, with waking up each day to find a new laundry list of crimes comitted by this administration, with utter and complete inaction, with feeling like an alien in my own country.

In a better world, we'd be building the gallows for these fucking criminals right now instead of flinging our own shit at our tribesmen. We'd be out in the streets every god damn day protesting these fuckers instead of sacrificing two or three hours a day from our free time to support a candidate who will just get slimed by the Bushies for their trouble.

I've got news for you people: Our troubles don't magically end IF (and it's a big if) we manage to oust Bush in 2004. There's no guarantee we'll even still have a country to lead by then, at the rate this administration is devolving the system. This isn't some problem our grandkids or great-grandkids will have to deal with, our government is going to go tits up before we know it. And all these god damn zombies we call our fellow Americans can do is sit there watching American Idol while Rome burns.

At this point, I don't care if I have to sell a kidney, I'm going to find a way to get off this sinking ship, because I have no delusions of nobility about going down with my beloved country. America left me behind before I was even born.
