I'm coming from a long background in broadcasting and not trying to defend AFRTS carrying this gas bag, I'm as much against them airing his bile as much as any other right wing hag bag. I'm just attempting to explain what is being done.

BTW...his show is aired around 6pm or so on the AFRTS station in Munich...probably later in Iraq...not quite the same audience tuning in. My bets are these are the die-hard dittoheads who would be listening here as much as they want to hear him there.

We're not subsidizing Rushbo as all AFRTS does is relays his Premier hatefest. They, Premier, pay for the production and pay Rushbo...AFRTS just plucks it off a satellite...and all we pay for is the electrons send to send it into the ether. Rushbo wouldn't be able to keep his oxy habit alive for one day with the money spent on putting his show on AFRTS.

I agree with your prime point that you detest the slandering of Liberals and Progressives...the daily misrepresentation of our views, the facts and reality by a propagandist. Inversely, I know it would be an insult to subject someone who had contrary views to mine to a steady diet of DU GD threads (that's real torture! LOL). However, right now, I think this is a battle for the hearts and ears of many in our service and that they need to hear there's a united alternative...ones who can say aloud only what they can think...and for this, some Progressive Radio on AFRTS would be a welcome addition.
