50. "Let someone else's kids go"
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 01:14 PM by geniph
Disgusting hypocrisy from people who love to spout shit like "our troops are dying so that you can express your freedoms by protesting." Dude, if you really believed that, then you'd be encouraging your own kids, and everyone else's, to enlist, because you BELIEVE in protecting freedom.

Sheltering your own pampered offspring and expecting me to send mine in their place...well, fuck y'all. I don't believe they're over there protecting freedom. I believe they're over there protecting imperialism and cheap oil, and I'm a strong believer in no more blood for oil.

Put YOUR kids where your mouth is.

Wanna really support the troops? The support they need is FIRE support, not another goddam car magnet. Get over there with an M-16 or shut the hell UP.

As for me, I can pity the troops, many of whom never signed up for a shootin' war - they signed up for the National Guard so they could get college money or train in a profession - I may send 'em care packages. But I'm not sending my stepsons. No way, no how. You believe in the mission, send yours. I already have a nephew and two cousins over there, and that's three family members too many. :-(
