Al Gore, winner of the 2000 Presidential election, one of America's great statemen, is also ... a Southern Baptist.

Shame, shame, shame on these North Carolina Baptists who violated the word of God by sitting in judgment on their fellow man.

I left the Baptist church when it came out in support of the pre-emptive attack on Iraq (the only church in the country to do so). If I hadn't left then, I would have had to have left a thousand times since then.

I live by the commandments I was thought as a child in a Southern Baptist church in Knoxville, Tennessee. And in all seriousness, that was a verse I learned as a child, "judge not lest ye be judged." How do these Baptists from North Carolina reconcile their actions with the teachings of the Bible?

Al Gore is a better man than I since he has been able to stay in the Church, but those Dems in North Carolina need to get that loudspeaker out and dust off that Gore speech.
