28. It's even found its way into sports!
Example: After Saturday's nat. semifinal between Illinois and Louisville, CBS thrust a mike at MVP Roger Powell of Illinois. The first thing out of Powell's mouth?

"First, I'd like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

:wtf:

What about Mom, Dad, Sis, his junior high school coach, and Fluffy the cat? Don't they rate?

Then again, J.C. is said to have had a better than passable Jump Shot...

And ponder this: I snapped the tube off in disgust after the initial remark, so I did not see whether they even interviewed anyone from Louisville. If they did, however, I would be VERY surprised if any of them had mentioned God or Jesus! "Well, I guess the Big Guy isn't really that much of a Cardinals fan after all..." It's always the winners who trip over their shoelaces to thank the Almighty; always the guy who scores a TD kneeling in the end zone, never the schmuck who honks an easy FG (*cough* Doug Brien *cough*) crossing himself. Hmmmmmmmmmm...... isn't comfort supposed to be one of the big drawing cards in religion?
