WH reps and Rep Sen. refused offer to "debate" Soc Sec on CSPAN !!!

They are done testifying and Sen Dorgan said "by the way"...we offered to the WH and Rep Sen the invistation to be on the panel or represnt their position.

I wonder why they feel ther is no need for "debate"..?
