The church isn't running the election or anything, it's just in the building. The people manning the polls will not be affiliated with the church at all. You made a pretty valid point about the signs on the walls and stuff, but there are election laws about political signs near polls, so I'm sure that they'll be taken down by election day.

I seriously doubt that the fact that they're voting in a church will affect anyone's vote; I just don't see that happening. Whoever asked if you suddenly become old and feeble when you walk into a nursing home to vote hit the nail on the head.

You could, however, create a problem by getting the polling place moved. Polling places don't move every election, and most people who vote figure that they know where their polling place is. If it was moved, lots of people going to vote would go to the wrong place, and even if they got set straight, they would probably be frustrated enough to just go home.
