Freep Jerks are infesting even Retirement Communities! They are Scared!

I'm so burned up about this I figured I'd vent. My Dad is retired and lives on one of the Resort Islands in SC. This place is filled with golfers and folks who love the beach. It's upscale and I thought filled with intelligent retirees...given the price of the houses...one would think that would be the case. Mostly retired professionals: Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, lots of internationals and in the older part of the place where my Dad is, folks who have nice retirements but not lavish. BTW, the President of GE has a mansion on this Island! So does figure skating star Tara Lipinsky and others...including some of Bush's buddies. My Dad is on the "modest end" of the Island.

Anyway they have a message board where folks discuss rentals, and issues having to do with the Island and I've subscribed to it to keep up-to-date because my Dad doesn't have and wouldn't use a computer. So, I keep up with stuff for him.

All of a sudden this last week folks start trashing each other over someone who sold their villa because they were tired of the taxes, and hassels between residents and non-residents. Some jerk accused the person of being a "whiney Democrat and sour grapes and put "Bush-Cheney 04" in their post. I've never seen a political message on that board before in 7 years the site has been up. I got offended so I sent back a reply to the whole list serve that "Political Attacks shouldn't be on this particular List Serve, because it wasn't appropriate." Someone else posted the same thing but put in a message trashing Bush calling him an "Idiot and Dumbya."

Unfortunately, some idiot called "Big J" thought "I" posted the message about "Dumbya" and sent me a personal e-mail which is really disgusting. Not only because I wasn't the one who posted about Chimp, but because I don't know where this creep came from. But, after I got over my anger, I posted what I thought was a reasonable reply and look at the Freeper crap I got back.

These people must be really feeling pain if they are on a Retirement Community Message Board and acting like low lifes! I wish I hadn't bothered answering this person, but I couldn't believe that anyone could be this closed minded and vicious!

Here's the interaction. (Sorry, I know this is a long post, but think we need to know about this) BTW! No one mentioned Moore's F/911 to this guy...but he blathers not even replying to what I sent him!
I can't believe this guy is in this community with my Dad!

I had a laugh at your idiot words about Bush. I was laughing at your ignorance. Please vote for Kerry, who has one of the worst voting records of all time. You must be an idiot Yankee. Also I don't know if your educated enough to know that Edwards was a staunch supporter of the war and is quoted many times as saying that Iraq was an imminent threat and that we should go it alone without the UN. So please vote your ignorance and go watch Fahrenheit 9/11 so you can make yourself even more ignorant lol. Please get a clue and stop being so ignorant.

(My Reply to this Jerk who mistook me for another poster)

Sorry Big J,
That wasn't me who made the comments about Bush. You read it wrong. It was another List Serve member. Go back and read and send your comments to the other person. However, I agree with the poster's sentiments about Bush, and I'm a native SC'linian. Family goes back to 1760. Fought in Revolution, Civil War, World Wars I and II. Bush is bad for America. When you take your country to War and send your men and women to die overseas, it ought to be based on truth and not a lie. We can agree to disagree. Correct? Or should we just call each other names and question each other's patriotism. What good does that do? We are all Americans and want our country to stand for the ideals it was founded on. A President who behaves like a King and is above the law is not why my ancestors came here seeking a new way of life and freedom from tyranny. They came to America to escape that. I hope I can honor them by standing up for the principles of this country where there are "checks and balances" over Power of the "King."

(I get this back from "Big J")

LOL you must not know anything about the truth. Moore's film is nothing but lies and his comments about the citizens of the US are awful. Please become educated if you want to talk please get educated. Iraq is a done deal weather you like it or not and it has to be finished. Terrorism is not going to go away, nor is it a creation of Bush. How is it that so many terrorist attacks happened under Clinton and how come 9-11 was planned under Clinton.
PS. Bush will easily win when he announces Powell or McCain as his VP at the Republican Convention. Also if you believe what Moore says you should not vote because you are an uneducated voter and they are the worst of them all.
