My uncle (mother's brother) and my brother. My uncle was a cop for 40 years and just retired.

Both have the same general idea that without a stable, affluent working and middle class, morality decays and misery spreads. The Republicans don't want that kind of society because they want to make themselves the Lords of the Earth; Democrats do because they believe in freedom.

Both are devout Roman Catholics, and neither think the "under God" fracas is anything other than a Republican trick.
