I disagree with extremists on both sides.

From the post I replied to:

So, one could infer that Constituitionally speaking, the government has no right to prevent its citizens from purchasing any type of weapon.

One could also infer, as I did as a response to this, that the right to "purchase any type of weapon" is restricted to organized militias.

Personally, I see both sides of the issue. I simply wanted to point out that the first clause of the amendment does leave some room for restriction.

Gun-grabbing at this point is probably a bad idea, as we might need those guns one day to repel an invasion. Especially if current foreign policy is allowed to continue.
