73. I'm from the South, and know what power racist icons have
Adolph Rupp at Kentucky was basically an avowed racist. He was quoted before the 1966 NCAA Championship game saying a team of 5 black players could never defeat a team of 5 white players. It doesn't get more cut and dried than that. Yet what still the name of Kentucky's basketball stadium on the UK campus? Rupp Arena.

This icons have GREAT power to this day.
