53. You know, if you don't like the topic being discussed
then, please, don't open the thread and read it. There are plenty of great political and non-political discussions going on here. As I hope you can see from the title of this forum, it is called General Discussion which is a place for discussion of general topics that somewhat fall into the realm of politics. Now, if you have a "beef" about the religious threads and how they shouldn't be in the GD forum then that is a valid complaint. But, to try and say that everyone here should be talking about only the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the lies of the Bush administration seems foolish to me. There are just too many people here and too many different personalities to try to narrow down what we should be talking about to such a small group of topics.

yes. It is sad to see such horrible things going on in the world. But to complain about people here because they talk about the word "bitch" instead of doing something about the situation over there seems a bit hypocritical. I don't see how this thread is better than any other thread here at DU for those people.
