39. Yep
I happen to agree with you. The sociopathic personality is utterly incapable of empathizing with the situation of anyone else. They also are often very good at manipulating systems to get what they want -- because they have no moral compass whatsoever. Or, I should say, no compass other than, "If I do this, I might get caught and that would be bad."

In other words, the sociopath has no particular sense that certain acts are inherently right or wrong -- and that's sufficient reason to act or not.

Moreover, suffering only matters if it's happening to the sociopath, because emotionally they've never developed beyond the infantile "I'm the center of the universe" stage.

The guy occupying the White House clearly places no moral value on human life -- save his own. He also has no sense of personal responsibility for anything, because he's never been held liable for even the biggest of his blunders as faux businessman and later, figurehead politician.

It's not for politics alone that Shrub has chosen not to attend a single military funeral. To face, up close, the death of another person due to his orders (and his lies) would bring along with it thoughts of personal mortality, and he simply can't have that.
