I'm a long-time Disney follower. The problem with Eisner has been, basically, that he's been doing things on the cheap and the Disney product has been suffering. A prime example is the California Adventure park--built cheap, it shows, and now Disney practically has to pay people to visit the park. And they've made cheap, awful, direct-to-video sequels of classic movies just to make a quick buck. Eisner has been cheapening Disney for a quick buck and the fans are angry.

A lot of other companies have also fallen into the trap of cutting costs to the point of alienating their customers but Disney has the curse of devoted fans who will raise a stink and call them on it.
