...because it doesn't affect you personally. And the dems expect the gay vote, even though there are some with the same attitude as yours, even though most are not affected by this personally

And quite frankly this will lead to possible deaths for queers. Did you not see the thread about the editor who is calling for the death of queers and our supporters? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=1172162) This is going all over the 'net. All it takes is for some loonies to see reason in her words and bang, with have a string of new Matthew Shepards happening.

Gay marriage has been brought to the forefront, now it is time for the dems to take a stand and support what is ethically right.

The in fighting between us needs to STOP. By us not standing together on this issue, we are giving the GOP exactly what they wanted.
