pulled 100 FBI agents off the anti-terrorism task force and put them on investigation of prostitution in New Orleans, Ashcroft's budget to be presented 9-12-01 didn't have anti-terrorism in the top 7 threats for the Justice Department (and FBI) to work on in the coming year.
* pulled funding from anti-terrorism and tried to move to Star Wars, the missile defense system that we didn't need.
How would wiretapping have helped?? I simply don't understand.
Do you suppose Cheney could explain it to us???
