Let me be clear. I do not agree with of all of the comments in this thread. But I have seen similar threads on DU before without all the flaming. I don't feel that my comments were sexist. My only statement on La Bush was that I think she needs gay American designers (and fewer acquaintances with antlers).

My other comments were that I thought the initial reactions to this thread were overblown. I am in no way defending sexist remarks about women. I seem to remember some pretty scathing comments about Nancy Reagan and her designer outfits from the left. I saw this as no different. In reading some of the later comments, I would agree that some of the referrences to body parts are over the top. I just didn't think that the thread initially rose to the level of flamebait.
