Elections in Iraq are not that thing. They were the most Westernized nation in the Mideast and every district had elected officials. Many were Christian and in fact the Second in Command after Saddam was a Christian. It was a Secular Society. I don't see that as the case any longer so No I am not excited about the goings on in Iraq at this moment. I believe the elections are fixed and will not make the people any freeer than they were under Saddam. He was a brutal man but he kept an open society where women were considered equal to men in all areas. That is not true now..
