Mary was heavily into the "Shock and Awe" thing, even back then, I think.

Now I'm not a Mary Poppins fan, mind you, but I left her on the TV long enough to hear her say that once, before I jumped up and changed the channel to Gilligan. I liked Eric Clapton's version of 'Spoonful better than Mary's tune, but the lyrics to Mary's little jingle just kind of gave me something to live by and no matter how hard I've tried, over all these years, I haven't been able to shake that idea that Mary's song imparted...
