music. That is what its all about, thats not whats bothering me here. And this has nothing to do with Rock. Styles of music don't exist, its all human classification, there is nothing there to determine what style a piece of music is. It's all 12 notes. Now that that's out of the way, vibrato is not just an opera technique, everyone who plays music uses vibrato. Jack White uses it when he plays guitar, when he wiggles his hand around on one note, that's vibrato. You don't have to like it, the fact is, it is present in every "style" of music, and you obviously don't really understand what it is. You may as well have just said, I don't like opera. That's fine. And what is singing normally? Music is art, opera is a form of that art. Its also alot older than you or me or any of the music Jack White plays. Haven't you ever heard of the phrase respect your elders? That goes for everything, art, music, people, anything.
