Reply #88: Didn't Jack White assault another musician?

That's about all I know of them, is that the dude attacked some other musician because the guy criticized him in an interview or something. I wonder if it was a publicity stunt. Nvermind, I googled it and it does not seem like it was a stunt:

Duggan said his office investigated White’s claim of self-defense but all the witnesses said Stollsteimer did not provoke the attack or even attempt to fight back.

“We concluded that Mr. White did in fact bruise his hand on Mr. Stollsteimer’s face, but that does not constitute a valid charge,’’ Duggan said at a news conference.

Duggan said the two Detroit residents had a long disagreement that began after a magazine interview in which Stollsteimer criticized White’s role in producing the Von Bondies’ first album.

I found it odd that TDS would have a band on the show so I listened figuring they had to be something totally great - I think the sounds I heard were pretty commercial.
