53. Whether he realized how illegal it was, it didn't cause him any pain and
suffering. As I recall, there were no real consequences for his having done that. Yes, he got fired by bush-1. But bush-2 liked him and he was soon resurrected. Others might have been finished, politically, by something like that, especially with "the big guy" of the day firing them. But not rove. He was able to survive to fight another day, and he's NEVER had to face any consequences for what he's done to screw political opponents. EVER.

Now, consider: if you've had pretty much an entire lifetime of this - pulling shit on people and getting away with it, getting cover from some other VIP or potential VIP who likes what you do and wants you to do more of it, and, again, you NEVER have to pay any price for it (on the contrary! You get elevated, rewarded, praised, feared, and taken along to the top of the ziggurat), why would you come to believe anything would ever be any different? You're just always gonna win, and you're just always gonna pull the wool over somebody's inquiring eyes, and it's just always gonna work, and you're just never ever gonna get caught, and you'll just never have to pay for anything, and everything's just always gonna be fine. Just like we're gonna be met by indiginous personnel carrying flowers and sweets. kkkarl probably figures he can "fix" this one, too. He has no other template from which to operate. He's always won, he's always gotten away with it, and in fact he's developed a reputation - over a couple of DECADES OR SO - of doing whatever he wants to do to screw someone over, and NEVER LEAVING ANY FINGERPRINTS. All roads lead to rove, but you can't prove anything. Or at least, no one's been able to prove anything successfully yet, and no one else will ever mess with a powerful winner.

Until now. When, it seems, kkkarl's never-ending lucky winning streak has finally run out of gas.
