207. Here is why it should be Hackett
First, a map of Ohio 2 showing its pieces of hugely Repub pieces of Hamilton and Warren Counties:

Next, the results from the Presidential Election in 2004 for the counties in Ohio-2:
Adams County - Bush 64% Kerry 36%
Brown County - Bush 64% Kerry 36%
Clermont County - Bush 71% Kerry 29%
Pike County - Bush 52% Kerry 48%
Scioto County - Bush 52% Kerry 48%

Hamilton County - Bush 53% Kerry 47%
Warren County - Bush 72% Kerry 28%

Hamilton and Warren County a little separate cause this is a full county result, and OH-2 has been redistricted to only include the massive uber Rebub areas in a small portion of Hamilton and Warren Counties.

Results of the Schmidt vs. Hackett race

Adams County - Hackett 53% Schmidt 47%
Brown County - Hackett 56% Schmidt 44%
Clermont County - Schmidt 58% Hackett 42%
Pike County - Hackett 63% Schmidt 37%
Scioto County - Hackett 65% Schmidt 35%

Hamilton County - Schmidt - 51% Hackett 49%
Warren County - Schmidt - 58% Hackett 42%

The numbers folks...the numbers. I know, I know it is Ohio, however, the new election reform on this November's ballot can maybe clean our voting mess up for 2006.

I am personally drafting a letter to Mr. Dean tonight. He is the head of the DNC, and dammit, he needs to throw his weight around on this one and get behind Hackett, get the Dem team behind Hackett, and get Sherrod Brown into another position, or get him to keep the seat he is already in. The Ohio Lege (Repub controlled) has already tried once to pass a nasty little legislative disease that would force a candidate to resign his position if running for a different one. So far, the damn Repubs realize this could hurt them too, however, if they find a way to make it work against the Dems, and work for them, they will pass it.

And I repeat, from the coffee houses, restaurants and county fairs of Central Ohio - Sherrod who?
