Massive live press coverage of Hurricane Katrina has revealed Dubya's "Homeland Security" as a dangerous boondoggle--a politicized dismantlement of longstanding capacity to help first responders. As they prepared to tip the teetering USSC decisively to the right and to enact another round of "tax-cuts" for plutocrats, the White House have found that many of its "presstitutes" are way "off message". They are broadcasting and rebroadcasting unrefutable evidence of massive White House and Executive Branch incompetence, rather than praising Dubya as a Churchillian hero.

But what happened during the Katrina relief effort was nothing new. 9/11 ITSELF was a scandal of cowardice and incompetence.

Remember how, right from the start, Dubya's new administration sidelined Richard Clarke, the expert who was "too focused on bin Laden"?

Remember how Dubya was on vaction and did not read the 8/6/01 PDB warning of imminent attack?

Remember how Dubya sat reading "My Pet Goat" as bin Laden attacked on 9/11/01?

Remember how later that day Dubya scurried from hidey-hole to deeper hidey-hole, shirking his leadership duties and helping to sink the travel industry for many years?

Remember how Dubya confessed, "I was trying to get out of harm's way"?

How far do you think the new "glastnost" in the media will go on the anniversary of 9/11? Will ANYONE in the MSM finally focus on Dubya's cowardice on 9/11, presumptuous ignorance before then, and monumental incompetence on "homeland security" since?
