Has anyone given any though on how those survivors transported out of the state, and those without a home address will be able to vote in midterm elections scheduled in November 2006?
This whole tragedy smell of political manipulation. Perhaps the delay was cause by a strategy meeting regarding with the up coming election in mind: and what advantage they will be have to displace a group of highly Democratic leaning voters.
I had a conservative, friend of mine, call me and laugh, saying looks like Louisianian will be getting a Republican Senator in 2006. Can you believe it? Not a word about his christian belief i.e. what ever you do for the least of them you do unto Me (paraphrased)Is this compasonite conservatisiom?
Not a word about the poor and suffering death and destruction. Just that the Republican's will have an opportunity to elect a Senator in November 2006. It made me sick.
What steps are being taken to make sure all those displaced people will receive their mail; Pension check, Social Security checks etc.? Given direction on when, where, and how they will vote in November.
Is anyone making a data base of the disenfranchised people so they can be identified as homeless from New Orleans, Mississippi, and Alabama???????????? If not, I suggest they get your a_ _ moving on it.
If you ask me everyone in the logistical section/division of HOME LAND SECURITY, need to be striped of their duties; and required to answer to Congress committee's for that purpose, and let the world watch and listen to their answered.
In closing I would like to see an accounting of the funds given by the US Government, the Citizens, various charity and Corporate American contributed. The Government, in particular, on a per-capita bases.
The Government love to awe citizens and keep repeating they're sending hundreds of millions of dollars, to the area. The never are asked by the press, what does that represent per-capita! Or as percentage of the total income of the USA. :kick:
