And yes what I described is libertarianism. There is meaning left in the word, but the term can not be used on a scale of left to right because there are libertarians at both ends of the spectrum. Instead when thinking about libertarianism we use a scale from libertarian to authoritarian. In other words do you believe that the state should have absolute power over a person's life or do you believe it should have very little power. It is perfectly clear what the term means as long as you don't pretend that one small group of people has a monopoly on the term.
