The fact the kid danced around as Monkey talked, and the Ozzie and Harriet freaks looked on was done to make it look like Monkey picked a man of real values, control, and his wife doing her wifely duites on the opposite side of the podium. Why was that? Why was he on one side and she and the kids on the other? To get the most visual out of the situation. To show the wife as the child rearer, and the stong father on the other side. The kid dancing? The deal closer.
