"Religious activists seek to ban gay adoption

Religious activists who helped ban gay marriage in Ohio say their next goal is to stop homosexuals from adopting children.

The Rev. Russell Johnson is chairman of the Ohio Restoration Project. He says homosexual behavior is condemned by the Bible. He's part of a coalition pushing a proposing law that would ban gays and lesbians from adopting children or serving as foster parents.

Although the bill has not been introduced in the statehouse, proponents say they have no shortage of potential sponsors."

Ohio in a nutshell:

-The economy sucks
-Manufacturing jobs are fleeing the state like it has the plague.
-The state was a huge embarrassment last November.
-We're losing population
-The statehouse is rocked in scandal
-Budget shortfalls

But what matter of importance may sail through the Republican controlled house if and when it becomes legislation, most likely a bill that bans gay couples from adopting. Go figure.
