Harry Middleton, former director of the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum, and editors of "The Presidential Recordings" talk about President Johnson's conversations with various members of congress, advisers, and friends on issues such as the economy, foreign aid, and the 1964 riots in Panama. The panelists plays clips of these conversations and provide background for them. Joining Mr. Middleton are editors Timothy Naftali, Kent Germany, David Shreve, and Robert Johnson. The panelists take questions from the audience following their remarks.

Author Bio: Timothy Naftali is one of three general editors of the three-volume collection of "The Presidential Recordings" and is director of the Presidential Recordings program at the University of Virginia's Miller Center. Kent Germany is co-editor of vol. 3 of "The Presidential Recordings" and is an assistant professor at the Miller Center. David Shreve is co-editor of vol. 2 of "The Presidential Recordings" and is an assistant professor at the Miller Center. Robert Johnson is co-editor of vols. 2 and 3 of "The Presidential Recordings" and is a research fellow at the Miller center.
