Because we are informed and get to see and read what we are not supposed to read. If the people at DU only watched TV or read their newspaper then they wouldn't be that outraged.

It was already sad that books and music were not really under their control, but the high proliferation and the ease of searching on the internet have made it a force the BFEE doesn't like. That's why we should enjoy the possibilities while we can ;)

If the pictures in this link below were shown on the major televisionstations or major newspapers then the war in Iraq would be lost, because of the shock value.

I remember when Eastern Europe was liberated and the films about the children homes in Romania and Bulgaria were first released and the shockwave which followed, because people couldn't handle those images. The images of war are even worse!
