5. They'd kill an enlightened leader
As much as i'd love to have one. Perhaps it will come in time,
4 decades from now or so.

First we must reach the point where we're ready to listen to an
enlightened leader. Rather it seems here on DU, that we want a
leader like "we" want.... Kucinich is not acceptable to some... and
Kerry is too DLC for some... and Hillary is too 'known' for some... and
Obama is too ... and on and on and on that no leader is really one
who we can come together with, because we're still not humble.

Dammit, my fikkin dog would make a better president than ANY republican.
That's the truth, and geez, instead, we're still a bickering lot
unable to come together, filled with divisiveness, distrust and all
the viruses and toxicity of distrust that fill postmodern society.

Before an enlighened person can come to the helm, there must be the
sincere prayer, in the inner most hearts of the people, that they will
be willing to put aside their egotism to accept the wisdom of the real
deal. Until then, no enlightened blessing.... adrift in a sea of egotism.
