1. They voted overwhelmingly for Gore and I think Kerry won them too
Gore won them by something like 60-40 (I've also seen 70-30 thrown about). I've not been able to find figures for Kerry although I did read that he won them - I just don't know the margin.

The wealthiest Indian-Americans and many of them in Texas (which has a large Indo-american community) voted Bush. The majority voted Dem though I think.

One problem is going to be the conflict with outsourcing. I am Indian-American and I can see that it is a genuine issue of concern for a lot of americans, but a lot of Indians see anti-outsourcing as thinly-veiled India-bashing (which in some cases it has been). The issue is going to have be finessed well if you want to lock up the Indian-American vote.

Young Indian-Americans btw seem to be overwhelmingly liberal. Parents are more socially conservative though. If you can cultivate young Indian-Americans though at least the future should be good.
