and as long as the UK taxpayers do not mind paying to keep them as eccentric "pets", they will continue to do so.

Had Charles been "allowed" to do what he wanted, he and Camilla would have married when they were 20, they would have probably had 4 or 5 kids, and we would have never even heard about Diana,who would probably be teaching school and happily married herself.

The whole emphasis on "proper" and "pedigreed" marriages bears more of a resemblance to the Kennel Club, than real life:(
