And Robertson DOES halt the use of Condoms by encouraging the U.S. to quit supplying Condoms to Africa. That wasn't the Catholic Church that did that, that was pure Fundy-ism. It wasn't the Catholic Church that forced Bush to say there was no evidence condoms protected against AIDS.
Geez, you really need to step out of your myopic vision and look around. This is a stupid as fuck decision from the Pope, but to say the Catholic Church is more evil than Fundies? Oh And Pat Robertson would also say that HIV is the fault of the victim anyway, gawd's punishment and all for homosexuality.
