2. And for those caught in the beam (which is at least a 1/2 MILE radius) and CAN'T get out of the path? They die an agonizing death by burning.
3. How about the eldery? Crippled? Pregnant women? Babies? How do they move out of the path?
4. How does anyone know which way to run to get out of the path, especially the "collateral damage" victims who aren't being specifically targetted? You're out hanging up laundry and suddenly your skin is burning & causing pain you can't stand. Which way do you run and will you make the right choice soon enough to avoid burning to death?
5. Effects can be fatal, especially for the very young and the elderly; their brains fry.
6. The slightest error by the troops manning the weapon and it's mass BBQ time.
