11. They're Playing for Keeps
It is truly a comforting thought to ponder, however, I believe the GOP have no intention on loosening their grip around the neck of corporate news' talking heads anytime soon. The result will be more creative image manufacturing and PR for the Republican party, while Democrats are portrayed in gradual shifts from being members of an irrelevant political party, to being enemies of the "freedom loving" Republican state.

Although the word is thrown around freely here, we are far from reaching an American parallel to the Fascism that Italy experienced under Mussolini, and it's very possible that things will get much worse before a large chunk of Americans realize that they've been made insane with political divisiveness.

It all comes down to this:

The right-wing's ultimate goal is to create a one-party state; one where Republican ideals dominate the fray, and all others are either heard or dismissed at the whim of Republican leadership. They now have the desire and the means to do so, so I expect nothing more than continued attacks on the perceived "liberal bias" in the media. They want the voice of the progressive movement to be silenced.

I believe it is much better to scream, in this situation.
