Anyone started looking at their local races yet?

I have, and my blood is running a bit cold.

Anyone remember the trouble in Milwaukee when the Milwaukee County Executive (and Bush campaign co-chair) Scott Walker tried to short change the city on the amount of ballots? Well, he's already taking aim at our Dem Governor for the 2006 race. What an asshat. Another contender is a major backer of DOMA in the Wisconsin Legislature.

Shit! (runs around in a circle) Where do I go? What do I do? I've never even paid attention to local races before! Ack!

I'm also starting to gear up for my small city Mayor race in 2005. Aside from one loony hippy type (bless him), I think our Dem mayor is safe.

But man o man, I'm not sure I can gear up like this so soon after Nov. 2. But it seems like the place to start if I want to remain involved.

So, anyone else taking this route? How about you political newbies like me?
