I am watching All in the Family right now!

But, I do know what you mean about no show today really breaking boundaries like All in the Family did.

I wonder, what would that show look like?

The main/Archie character could be some misinformed, hard working, working class guy, voting for bush, thinking the poor are lazy, supporting the war, saving up for an SUV. The meat head/Mike character could be some radical leftist Dean supporter who marries the family's liberal daughter.

I don't know how much different it would be from the original. Which, again, I will say is sad as all hell.
