"RUN"ning at all. Either they have switched parties if they are still in politics or they are in very safe districts if they are Dems. The only thing I would see working down here is combining economic populism with softer sell social conservatism. Fight the moral majority types with real Jesus types. A strong stand against immigration would help any candidate in rural congressional districts distinguish himself from Bush and would help him or her prevail down here especially if economic pressures continue. Moving "left" on the economy: economic fairness would not necessarily be a death nail down here and could be welcome. Social issue left would not go over big and any perceived weakness on defense matters would be a non starter.
