It was a numbskull idea to create a flag for an Arab nation that looked almost exactly like the Israeli flag. It only served to further anger all kinds of people. Given the recent, and not so recent history, of the area it was pure stupidity.
Walk up to an angry bear and slap it with a switch, why doncha?
