And I'm really friggin' tired of people making outrageous statements, all because folks comment frankly and sincerely on how bigoted this man was.

Face facts. He was a bigot. He actively worked to make life miserable for millions of people. He actively worked to undermine and disenfranchise their families from the moral and civic nexus of social life in the United States. His work, his rhetoric gave comfort to the worst kind of hatemongers out there amongst us.

These are things he did. They are works that are far larger and more impactful than anything he ever did on the football field.

I wish him, as I've written before, no ill will, nor his family any ill will. But what he did while on earth was a travesty. That is his legacy.

And people have the right to comment on his hatemongering without having others falsely label THEM as being guilty of the type of destruction that Reggie White purveyed.
