face of Christianity that most of the masses of the world have seen is quite different from what we have been led to believe in this country. In my extensive travels in Asia, many very intelligent Chinese, Japanese and Indian people have told me that Christianity in Asia is associated with Colonialism and Imperialism in their minds. They have also argued that Christianity has long condoned slavery, Apartheid and the concept of the inferiority of certain races which led to segregation in our own South and the illegal concentration camps for Japanese Americans. As a Christian, I have tried to argue that there is no scriptural sanction for any of these practices and true Christians will not be a party to any of these demeaning practices.
