in the article, it says that Kaplan was in charge of war coverage for ABC, and I didn't detect any 'truth-seeking' or 'responsible journalism' coming from ABC at the time.

On the contrary, I saw cheerleading.....cheerleading with the intent of pulling in more viewers (more profit) then the other cheerleaders.

Broadcast journalism is about profit these days, and Kaplan, if he actually tries to pretend otherwise will find himself looking for a new job sooner than later.

Just because he speaks to a bunch of journalism students and extols the virtues of journalism doesn't mean he will be successful at bucking the trends working for a company that's owned by a defense contractor.
