...convention coverage? People clearly wanted to see what the networks were denying them.

Why is F911 one of the top grossing films? The hunger for real information about what's going on in the world sent people in droves to that movie.

I don't doubt that the networks are giving a segment of the population what they want, but it's not like the crap they put on the air and call news is doing all that well in the ratings. about 7-9 million people watch all three news shows each night. I think about 11 million listen to NPR.

I bet that I could get you 15 million news viewers each night with a version of the news that is interesting, informative and accurate. And many of those viewers would be people too sensible to watch the shit that's passed off as news today.
