Bush Lies on HMOs Exposed by Al Franken
Advertisements [?]
Al Franken exposed Bush's lies on HMOs today.

When Bush was governor of Texas, he vetoed a bill to allow Texans to sue their HMOs in state court.

Then the state legislature passed the HMO bill with a veto-proof majority.

Then Bush let it become law without his signature, while expressing his objection.

Then Bush boasted about the bill during an October 2000 debate with Al Gore, saying that Americans would have similar rights if he's elected.

Once in the office of President, Bush opposed letting people sue their HMOs in state court, and the Bush Administration told the Supreme Court that people shouldn't be able to their HMOs in state court.

The Bush Administration was succesful in persuading the Supreme Court and taking away rights from people injured by their HMOs, and the families of people killed by the decisions of their HMOs.

------------
I wish that "The O'Franken Factor" were broadcast in Washington, DC, so that people who deal with Bush directly could see what a liar he is.
